  • CASN Fall Conference Success!

The CASN Fall Conference was successful with over 200 nurses attending this year. The theme was "Colorado School Nurses reconnecting for Student Health" and everyone enjoyed being in person at the conference again. Participants were able to re-acquaint with old friends and meet some new friends. The nurses enjoyed the speakers who presented interesting and relevant topics for the time.

The CASN Annual Banquet had a 70’s theme, with good food, a fun photo booth, music and dancing. The annual awards were given at the Banquet as follows: School Nurse of the Year 2022 was Charlotte Brazelton; School Nurse Advocate of the Year was Jordan Goto; and the School Nurse Administrator of the Year is Sara Sroka Kihn. Jamie D’Amico was given the Lifetime Achievement Award from CASN for her work with Immunizations at the state health department.

The Conference Committee wants to thank all of the presenters and people involved in the planning process. Special thanks to Kelly Grenham who has worn many hats in CASN and will be stepping down from her Board position.

The Conference Committee members are Teresa Ross, Laura Phillips, Kelly Grenham, Lydia Potter, Sarah Blumenthal, Linda Botnick CASN Administrative Assistant, and thanks to Treasurer Bev Biela with Mary Schmitt.

To all the participants, the folder with presenter handouts has been updated, so check it out.
