2019 School Nurse Advocate of the Year
Diana Protopapa
The Colorado Association of School Nurses (CASN) recognizes Diana Protopapa, lobbyist with Frontline Public Affairs, as the 2019 School Nurse Advocate of the Year.
Diana has taken the time and effort to truly understand the role of the school nurse. She has brought our voice to the state capitol and has helped legislators understand our role in the physical, mental and emotional health of children in Colorado birth to 21 years old. Her knowledge of legislative processes and contacts at the capitol ensure that we are at the table, as stakeholders, from the beginning to the end of the legislative process. Her tireless work on behalf of Colorado school nurses has led to the overwhelmingly bipartisan passage of the School Nurse Grant Program in 2019. Diana is not only an advocate for school nurses in Colorado but also for the students and families we serve every day.
Please join us in recognizing Diana at our annual conference banquet on November 2, 2019.
