Hello,
I work in an elementary k-3 building as the RN for a rural district. We currently have 3 special needs students who will require diaper changes throughout the day. I am looking for resources related to this including contracts between RN, sped staff, and families, and training for Paras who may be required to assist in diaper changes. My district is wanting me to do the changing currently but I don't see how I can diaper change all day while managing the health office and nursing needs as well. Can anyone send me resources/ ideas of how your districts handle this. Do Paras do the changing do RNs? What do your processes around this look like? I want to create a cohesive team between myself and the sped team regarding this issue.
