  • 1.  Measuring a controlled substance liquid

Just wondering how others are measuring a controlled substance that is liquid?  They usually come in bottles that have markings in 5 ml to 10 ml increments, but if you are giving 0.5 ml, it may get messy and illegible using a sharpie to mark the bottle.  Thoughts?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jen,

    This is a great question!

I use a scale to measure prior and after administration, recording the amounts on the controlled medication log.

    Hope this helps!
