Can nurses who have not renewed, and plan no to renew their LPN license be called nurses?
I have found documentation form 2004 that talks about a revoked or suspended license but what if they simply let it laps years ago and never renewed?
My interpretation of this is that the person is unlicensed and can not be called a nurse.
If you want to be a "Nurse" renew your license, is my interpretation of this.
Is there more recent legislation than this?
I have a UAP in this situation and need clarification if she can be referred to as a nurse or not.

My understanding has always been that if they have not completed all required education, state testing, and do not hold a current license, they can not be called a nurse.
