As Past President of the Colorado Association of School Nurses, it is my privilege to open nominations for this year's CASN Awards. These awards are our opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary impact school nurses and their advocates make across Colorado.
A Personal Note
This past week, I have been deeply involved in supporting our community in the aftermath of a school shooting. The role of school nurses has never been more visible or more essential. In moments of crisis, and in the everyday work of keeping students healthy, safe, and ready to learn, school nurses are anchors of care and stability.
Recognizing and honoring these efforts matters. Taking time to lift up the work of our colleagues and advocates not only shines a light on their dedication but also strengthens the voice of school nursing across our state.
Please take a few minutes to submit a nomination. Think about the school nurse who has gone above and beyond, the administrator who tirelessly supports their team, the legislator who champions student health, or the advocate who makes a difference behind the scenes.
Together, let's celebrate the people who embody the very best of school nursing. Nominations will be accepted through October 13th.
With Gratitude,
